I took off to Illinois to visit my parents last Thursday, taking my 2 young sons with me. So, here is a description of our trip, by the numbers.
18 cars in the ditch between Champaign and Indianapolis
2 semi trucks in the ditch
3 tow trucks needed to pull one of those semis out
3 meals at McDonalds
4 different beds that DS1 slept in
3 aunts and uncles visited
4 cousins visited
8 cups of coffee consumed on the road
12 potty stops
5 tanks of less expensive American gas put in the car
18 hours driven
3 internet friends visited with in person
1 old girlfriend visited with
3 grandparents seen
256 songs listened to on the Ipod (anyone for Convoy 6 times?)
13 podcasts listened to on the Ipod
60 dollars spent at Hobby Lobby on Scrap Crap
3 alcoholic beverages consumed while watching Grey's
We had a good trip, but it is good to be home.

Now THAT is an awesome blog post.
What's with all the accidents though? Really bad weather? I bet the boys had a blast counting them all.
Convoy is a great driving song :)
~Heidi...who needs a road trip...
So glad you made it back home safely.
And it was so cool to meet you and be part of your blog entry!
Hope we can get together again in the future.
